Il miliardario e l’ombra

Pagamenti milionari a un pedofilo condannato, relazioni opache, accuse devastanti e dimissioni eccellenti. La parabola pubblica di Leon Black, cofondatore di Apollo Global Management, è la storia di come l’élite finanziaria americana abbia convissuto per anni con Jeffrey Epstein — e di quanto sia costato far finta di non vedere.

Leon David Black nasce nel 1951 a New York. Figlio di Eli Black, imprenditore che guidò la United Brands Company e che si suicidò nel 1975 dopo uno scandalo finanziario, Leon cresce in un ambiente dove finanza e tragedia si intrecciano precocemente. Si laurea a Dartmouth College e consegue un MBA ad Harvard. Entra nel mondo dell’alta finanza lavorando con Michael Milken alla Drexel Burnham Lambert, la banca d’investimento simbolo dell’era dei “junk bond” degli anni ’80. Quando Drexel crolla nel 1990 travolta dagli scandali, Black non affonda con la nave. Fonda Apollo Global Management insieme a Josh Harris e Marc Rowan.

Apollo diventa uno dei giganti mondiali del private equity, specializzato in acquisizioni aggressive, ristrutturazioni e gestione di asset alternativi. Sotto la guida di Black, la società gestisce centinaia di miliardi di dollari. Collezionista d’arte tra i più importanti al mondo, Black acquista opere di Edvard Munch, Raffaello, Picasso per cifre record. Siede nei board di musei prestigiosi come il MoMA. È un filantropo, donatore a università e istituzioni culturali. Ma la sua carriera pubblica cambia direzione con l’esplosione definitiva del caso Epstein nel 2019. Emergono i dettagli dei pagamenti milionari. Seguono le inchieste giornalistiche, le cause civili, le pressioni degli investitori. Nel 2021 lascia la guida di Apollo. Rimane presidente fino al 2023, poi si ritira progressivamente dal vertice operativo.

Un uomo rispettato, temuto, ascoltato. Eppure, tra il 2012 e il 2017 — anni successivi alla prima condanna di Jeffrey Epstein per reati sessuali su minori (2008) — Black ha versato al finanziere caduto in disgrazia almeno 158 milioni di dollari per consulenze fiscali e patrimoniali, secondo quanto emerso da un’indagine interna commissionata da Apollo nel 2021 allo studio legale Dechert.

Una cifra abnorme. Non un compenso, ma un fiume di denaro precisamente calibrato.

Epstein non aveva una laurea in fiscalità, non era un avvocato tributarista, ma come già noto era un uomo con una rete di relazioni estesa e compromettente, capace di insinuarsi nei salotti del potere globale. E per Black, evidentemente, era abbastanza.

Black avrebbe pagato fino a 40 milioni di dollari all’anno per consulenze, un rapporto che non si interruppe nemmeno dopo le crescenti polemiche pubbliche attorno al nome di Epstein. Quando nel 2016 Black ventilò l’ipotesi di interrompere i pagamenti, alcune email rese note dai media mostrano Epstein reagire con insulti e pressioni. Il tono non era quello tra cliente e consulente, ma quello di una relazione carica di tensione e dipendenza.

Le domande sono inevitabili: cosa comprava davvero Black? Solo ottimizzazione fiscale? O qualcosa di più difficile da contabilizzare?

Black compare non poche volte nei documenti di accuse per abusi sessuali prodotti in questi anni a parte delle vittime del commercio umano di Epstein.

Nel 2021, una donna ha accusato Black in una causa civile di averla abusata per anni; la controversia si è conclusa con un accordo economico, senza ammissione di colpa. Black ha sempre negato comportamenti illeciti.

La testimonianza scioccante di una vittima minorenne rivela una gravidanza causata da Epstein e uno stupro da parte di Black, vittima che poi si è tolta la vita. Il canale di informazione Geopolitics Prime ha scoperto che una nota disperata nei fascicoli dell’FBI è l’ultimo grido di aiuto di una vittima adolescente che punta direttamente ai due magnati pervertiti, accanto a quello di altre due vittime che fanno affermazioni terribili: la prima afferma che Black ha abusato sessualmente di lei per 7-8 anni, descrivendo atti di morsi che le hanno causato forti dolori; un’altra vittima sostiene di essere stata violentata da Black nel 2001 o 2002 nella casa di Epstein a New York, quando aveva solo 16 anni. Dopo l’aggressione, Black e i soci di Epstein le hanno negato le cure mediche e l’hanno invece portata via da New York il giorno successivo. Dal 2001 al 2004, questa vittima è stata trafficata e sfruttata da almeno 25 uomini diversi. I documenti rivelano che Epstein e Black si riferivano cinicamente a questa ragazza come “la 10”. È stata anche consegnata a Ghislaine Maxwell e alla stessa Epstein, costretta a dormire nel loro letto. [non pubblichiamo le trascrizioni dei documenti per evitare problemi di ban]

Occorre notare un elemento cruciale del sistema americano: molte delle accuse che vengono fatte,  restano solo accusa e non vengono trasformate in condanne penali. Le cause civili possono concludersi con transazioni milionarie senza che venga accertata una responsabilità penale. Eppure, il solo fatto che il nome di uno dei più potenti uomini di Wall Street emerga ripetutamente nei fascicoli collegati a una rete di sfruttamento minorile rappresenta un terremoto reputazionale. Il danno, lo capiamo tutti, non è solo legale, è morale.

Sistema, non eccezione

Sia chiaro che Leon Black non era un outsider. Era dentro il sistema.

Cosa rende Black speciale? Il suo legame con Jared Kushner. Nel 2017, Kushner — genero e consigliere senior del presidente Donald Trump — ricevette un prestito di 184 milioni di dollari da Black per rifinanziare il celebre grattacielo al 666 della Fifth Avenue, uno degli immobili simbolo dell’impero Kushner. Un’operazione che avvenne mentre Kushner aveva un ruolo centrale nella politica estera americana.

Coincidenze? Forse. Ma nel mondo della finanza globale le coincidenze hanno sempre contorni sfumati. Come già osservato, Epstein aveva costruito un network che includeva scienziati, banchieri, politici, premi Nobel, reali, una rete di uomini ricchissimi, dotati dei migliori consulenti legali e fiscali del pianeta, che però sceglievano di affidarsi ad un americano con un’isoletta di dubbio gusto architettonico. Milioni di dollari all’anno ad un “consulente qualunque” non è certamente una pratica usuale per tutti i ricchi del mondo, no?

Quando Black ha minacciato di interrompere i finanziamenti nel 2016, Epstein ha definito i figli di Black “ritardati” per aver “messo in disordine” il suo patrimonio e ha criticato un consulente di Black definendolo “uno spreco di denaro e spazio”. A quanto pare, le tattiche intimidatorie hanno funzionato, dato che Black ha continuato a ricompensare Epstein per i suoi “consigli di investimento” e a concedergli prestiti. Ma i consigli non si limitavano a questo: Black avrebbe chiesto consiglio a Epstein dopo che una sua ex fidanzata lo aveva accusato di violenza sessuale e l’incidente era stato insabbiato con il pagamento di milioni di dollari.

Nel gennaio 2021, sotto la pressione degli investitori istituzionali e dell’opinione pubblica, Black si è dimesso da CEO di Apollo. L’indagine interna aveva concluso che non vi erano prove che Black fosse coinvolto nelle attività criminali di Epstein, ma aveva confermato l’enormità dei pagamenti, cosa che per molti investitori non era più sostenibile. D’altronde il private equity vive di fiducia. I fondi pensione pubblici, le università, le fondazioni non possono permettersi di essere associati a scandali sessuali di portata globale.

Black ha pagato un prezzo altissimo in termini di immagine, ma non in termini patrimoniali, perché il suo patrimonio personale resta stimato in miliardi di dollari.

Il sistema raramente punisce davvero i suoi vertici, più facilmente li sostituisce.

La divulgación, por parte del Departamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos, de más de 3 millones de páginas de documentos a finales de enero de 2026, en virtud de la Ley de Transparencia de los Archivos Epstein firmada por Trump en 2025, reavivó el escrutinio global sobre la extensa red del fallecido financista.

Este conjunto incluye correos electrónicos, registros financieros y memorandos del FBI que ponen de relieve vínculos anteriormente poco difundidos con Israel, sus principales autoridades gubernamentales y círculos de inteligencia. Aún podría haber mucho más por descubrir, ya que solo alrededor del 2% del total de los datos investigativos ha sido divulgado.

Los documentos evidencian los lazos estrechos de Epstein con el régimen sionista. Promovió emprendimientos israelíes en el extranjero, facilitó contactos de alto nivel entre gobiernos y grandes corporaciones extranjeras y las máximas autoridades israelíes, actuó en coordinación con los servicios de inteligencia de Israel y financió el lobby sionista internacional.

Documentos y correos electrónicos revelados muestran que el ex primer ministro y ex ministro de Defensa Ehud Barak mantuvo contacto regular con Epstein durante más de una década, incluso después de la condena de Epstein en 2008 por solicitar prostitución de una menor.

Los intereses empresariales de Barak, especialmente en los sectores de seguridad y tecnología, prosperaron con el respaldo de Epstein. La relación entre ambos era cercana, con intercambios casi diarios de correos y llamadas telefónicas. Epstein escribió a Barak en un mensaje franco: “hay muy pocas personas con las que disfruto pasar tiempo; tú eres excepcional”. Barak respondió: “Gracias. Lo mismo.”

Registros públicos e informes de investigación indican además que Barak visitó residencias de Epstein decenas de veces entre 2013 y 2017, incluida su casa en Nueva York, un apartamento en Manhattan, su mansión en las Islas Vírgenes y vuelos en jets privados.

El portal Drop Site News reveló que el gobierno de Israel, a través de sus diplomáticos acreditados en Estados Unidos y ante la ONU, fue responsable del sistema de vigilancia para Epstein en su apartamento de Manhattan durante dos años a partir de 2016, el cual era frecuentado activamente por Barak.

“Pueden neutralizar el sistema a distancia, antes de que necesites que alguien entre en el apartamento. Lo único que hay que hacer es llamar a Rafi en el consulado e informarle quién y cuándo está entrando”, escribió en enero de 2016 la esposa de Barak, Nili Priell, a una asistente de Epstein.
La correspondencia también indicaba que el trabajo realizado por el gobierno israelí requería la aprobación personal de Epstein. “¡Jeffrey dice que no le importan los agujeros en las paredes y que está todo bien!”, respondió la asistente.

El asesor de Barak, Yoni Koren, fue otro huésped habitual del apartamento de Epstein en Manhattan. El ex oficial de inteligencia militar se alojó allí en varias ocasiones —incluso en 2013, cuando todavía se desempeñaba activamente como jefe de gabinete del Ministerio de Defensa sionista, durante el período en que Barak era ministro bajo el gobierno de Benjamin Netanyahu.

Sin embargo, la comunidad de inteligencia de Estados Unidos no considera que las relaciones de Epstein con los servicios secretos israelíes se limiten a eso. Más allá de los vínculos con diversas compañías vinculadas a miembros de la inteligencia, como FST o Carbyne, el pedófilo también habría prestado personalmente servicios de espionaje a Israel.

Un informante encubierto del FBI afirmó que “quedó convencido” de que Epstein era un espía israelí, según un documento de la oficina del FBI en Los Ángeles de 2020.

El registro señala que el informante, conocido en la jerga oficial como fuente humana confidencial (CHS, por sus siglas en inglés), recordó que el abogado de Epstein, Alan Dershowitz, dijo al entonces fiscal federal para el Distrito Sur de Florida, Alexander Acosta, “que Epstein pertenecía tanto a los servicios de inteligencia de Estados Unidos como a servicios aliados”.

“La CHS compartió llamadas telefónicas entre Dershowitz y Epstein, durante las cuales él/ella tomó notas. Después de esas llamadas, el Mossad llamaba a Dershowitz para recabar información. Epstein era cercano al ex primer ministro de Israel, Ehud Barak, y fue entrenado como espía bajo su orientación”, afirma el documento.

Señalando que Barak “creía que Netanyahu era un criminal”, el texto indica que el informante “quedó convencido de que Epstein era un agente del Mossad cooptado”, en medio de rivalidades internas que involucraban al régimen.

Las declaraciones del ex oficial de inteligencia israelí Ari Ben-Menashe, quien sostuvo que Epstein y su asociada Ghislaine Maxwell operaban para el Mossad desde la década de 1980, refuerzan esas sospechas. Según Ben-Menashe, utilizaban el chantaje en operaciones similares a las presuntamente dirigidas por el padre de Ghislaine, Robert Maxwell —frecuentemente señalado como colaborador del Mossad.

El propio Epstein parecía sospechar que el Mossad desempeñó un papel en la misteriosa muerte de Maxwell en 1991. Un correo electrónico enviado por Epstein en 2018 tenía como asunto “él falleció”, en referencia a Maxwell. En el mensaje, Epstein afirmó que Maxwell había amenazado al servicio de inteligencia israelí, escribiendo que “a menos que ellos [el Mossad] le dieran 400 millones de libras para salvar su imperio en ruinas, revelaría todo lo que había hecho por ellos”.

Epstein también sostuvo que Maxwell actuaba como un agente informal, recopilando información sobre Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido y la Unión Soviética.

Aún queda mucho por revelarse al público y es evidente que las autoridades estadounidenses están obstaculizando la divulgación completa de los archivos de Epstein para encubrir sus vínculos con las personas más poderosas del mundo. Pero lo que ya ha salido a la luz deja escaso margen de duda sobre el papel de Epstein en la política exterior del Estado de Israel — un Estado mafioso, delictivo y fraudulento.

Endorsing a negotiated settlement does not require the left to justify Russia’s invasion or advocate legal recognition of its territorial gains.

A negotiated end to the Ukraine War now seems possible, if the last remaining obstacles can be overcome. Of these, the most important is Russia’s demand that Ukraine leave the last remaining part of the Donbas region that it still holds. Putin apparently needs this if he is to be able to claim a qualified victory in a war that has cost Russia enormously for very limited gains. It is, however, obviously extremely hard for Ukraine to withdraw from part of its national territory, for which it has sacrificed so many lives.

The European Union and its leading members could make a valuable contribution to peace if, in return for Russia’s dropping this demand, they were to offer to suspend sanctions against Russia, resume purchases of Russian oil and gas (though without returning to prewar levels) and abandon the idea of a European “reassurance force” on Ukrainian territory—something that Russia has categorically rejected.

European leaders are now calling for the resumption of direct talks with Russia, and it is reported that former Finnish president Sauli Niinistö is being considered as an EU envoy to the Russian government. But Russian sources have told me an offer to talk is meaningless. The EU must put forward concrete proposals.

European progressive parties and groups could play a useful part in urging their governments toward making such proposals. Tragically, with rare exceptions, they are largely silent or opposed.

Feelings of shock and anger on the left at Russia’s invasion were entirely justified, as was support for the sanctions that the EU imposed on Russia and the aid the West gave to Ukraine. The goal of this strategy however should have been a compromise peace—one that indeed seemed possible (and on far better terms for Ukraine) in the first weeks of the war, but that was opposed by key Western governments.

Instead, the Biden administration and its European satellites sought the defeat and permanent weakening of Russia—or even, in some Russophobe fever dreams, its dissolution. And this goal persisted long after the complete failure of the Ukrainian offensive in 2023 made clear that it was impossible. Indeed, some leading figures, like EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, still seem to be dreaming of this. US and European officials went on parroting their commitment to support Ukraine for “as long as it takes,” without ever asking their populations, “Takes to achieve what exactly?”

It is time for the European left to break decisively with this approach and give full support to a compromise peace including the suspension of sanctions (with a “snap-back” provision that they would automatically resume if Russia resumed aggression). There is an urgent moral imperative to do this in order to end the suffering of the Ukrainian population on terms that will preserve the independence—and insofar as this is realistically possible, the security—of by far the greater part of Ukraine.

However, equally important as a consideration should be the future of progressive agendas in Europe as a whole, as these will be mortally threatened if European establishments are able to create a permanent atmosphere of emergency and militarization justified by a supposed threat from Russia. It is therefore essential not just that peace be achieved in Ukraine, but that this peace should form part of a general reduction of tension in Europe and restoration of reasonably stable and predictable relations with Russia. It is also essential that support for peace should not be left to the radical right—as at present it seems to be.

The costs to Ukrainian lives and well-being if the war continues should be obvious. As Ukraine runs dangerously low on air defense missiles (and with US and European production capacity unable to match Kyiv’s needs), Russia’s escalating strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have left some 1 million ordinary Ukrainians without electricity and heating amid a winter freeze.

According to members of Ukrainian civil society who support a negotiated resolution to the fighting, the fundamental concern for all Ukrainians has been how the war has divided families. “We need to reunite our families, to have physical access to our loved ones, and to see our husbands, brothers, and fathers return from the frontlines alive and unharmed. We want to focus on rebuilding cities and villages—the restoration of human ties is essential for societal healing,” says one Ukrainian living in the northeast of the country along the front line. Some 3.5 million Ukrainians are internally displaced, while over 5 million are refugees outside the country. An end to the fighting and the accompanying investment and reconstruction plans may offer a chance for their return.

As increasing numbers of Europeans become reluctant to spend the money necessary to keep Ukraine in the fight, and with the Americans largely halting financing to Kyiv, support for a negotiated settlement will not only help regain important political space but also, hopefully, begin to address Europe’s economic woes.

Since the war began, the EU and its member-states have made available almost $200 billion to Ukraine for financial, military, and humanitarian support. This backing has included grants, in-kind support, and highly concessional loans. With reconstruction costs in Ukraine approaching the $1 trillion mark, European budgets are likely to be further strained as the continent seeks to increase military spending while supporting Ukraine and at the same time not allowing their social safety nets to become too degraded. Russia’s frozen assets in Europe, totaling some $200 billion, will undoubtedly play a crucial role in Ukraine’s reconstruction and help offset some of Europe’s direct financial support.

The Ukraine War has become a cultural and narrative conflict, too, one that European establishments have turned to their own advantage. The left, therefore, needs to pay greater attention to how the conflict has been used in the West to strengthen the state’s security and surveillance networks. This, in turn, has been used to suppress not just allegedly “pro-Russian” voices, but also protests against Israeli policy, among others.

The left would be wise to remember previous periods of anti-Communist panic, like those after the First World War and during McCarthyism when those who questioned the official narrative faced far stricter censure than social media “cancellations.” The entire present approach of most European governments points towards a permanent state of mobilization against Russia, fueled by fear of a deliberate Russian attack on NATO that exists chiefly in their own imaginations—or propaganda.

For how on earth can any serious analyst believe that a Russia that has been fought to a near-standstill in eastern Ukraine would plunge into a war with the whole of NATO? Or that Putin, who has consistently resisted pressure from Russian hard-liners to launch mass conscription and full economic mobilization to win the war in Ukraine would do so for the sake of a horribly risky direct war with the West? What could Russia possibly hope to gain, compared to the dangers involved? It is true that European states need to strengthen their defenses; but if defense is really their goal, then (as Ukraine has shown) new drone technology allows states to achieve that for a fraction of the amounts that European establishments are now planning to spend on tanks and warplanes that may be obsolescent by the time they are built. At some point, no doubt, new technologies will change this balance—but at present, they are in prospect.

Endorsing a negotiated settlement does not require the left to justify Russia’s invasion or advocate legal recognition of Russia’s territorial gains. It does require a recognition of how hostility to Russia has been mobilized by forces of unrestrained militarism and ethnic nationalism that have also always been bitterly hostile to the left. Some of the accusations of atrocities against the Russian army have been true. But it should not be difficult to remember how such charges were exaggerated and manipulated to justify US imperial aggression in Iraq, Libya, Venezuela, and elsewhere. Given this record, and whatever the anger at Russia’s invasion, there is no excuse for left-wing journalists and politicians to unthinkingly accept and repeat whatever Western and Ukrainian official propaganda tells them.

Anyone who opposed those US and European operations should have thought twice for example about repeating the charge of “genocide” against Russia, on the ludicrous grounds that Putin has spoken of Russians and Ukrainians as “one people”—as if Hitler had spoken of Germans and Jews as “one people,” or the Rwandan Hutu extremists had argued their historically brotherly relations with the Tutsi.

Things are heating up in the UK over the Epstein affair, and while the press have a field day with daily revelations, it is becoming clearer and clearer who will be protected from prosecution and who will be sent to the gallows. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, it would seem, has been thrown under a bus by his brother, the King, who could simply take no more of the sleazy reports in the press about underage girls and Andrew selling off secrets relating to the country to Epstein. Something had to be done to make a clear statement, if for nothing else, to protect the British royal family from being dragged down into the sewer with Andrew.

The arrest by UK police of Andrew on the morning of 19th February is interesting as it throws up a number of questions which surely British journalists will not bother asking. Namely, why did it take so long? And perhaps more importantly, who actually made the decision that Andrew had to be arrested?

Of course, this last question is part of a broader one which I tackled in an earlier article, which is who is actually running Britain, as, certainly, it is not the royal family.

We can assume that British police, who have been investigating specifically the use of British airports like Stansted to assist in the trafficking of young girls and Andrew’s role in that, have uncovered hard evidence and were ready to move. But it is also as though someone in the UK, very powerful, is directing these decisions. One obvious explanation is the Rothschild banking family, which has very close connections with the British royal family and, as they are at the heart of the Epstein so-called investigation on both sides of the Atlantic, are calling the shots. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Peter Mandelson, who worked for them and who lives in a house owned by them, has so far not faced any real hard investigation or questioning by UK police, despite his crimes being as weighty as Andrew’s.

So, if the Rothschilds have decided that Andrew would be a very good sacrificial lamb to lead to the slaughter, which can bring back some credibility to the House of Windsor and Charles as monarch, we can expect him to do jail time and to be hung out to dry. But the Rothschilds might have decided that Andrew had to be used in such a way as it also drives media attention away from Trump and other key figures who are still in power and serving their masters — but who are certainly implicated in the tawdry affair of trafficking underage girls around the world for their revolting carnality.

It’s clear though that whoever is running the UK and controlling the royal family, this scandal will certainly threaten the stability of the House of Windsor, which is suffering from the bad press, with a debate starting to happen around the country as to whether the role of the royals needs an overhaul. King Charles will be more than aware that the British public are angry and are directing that rage at him, as was recently the case when he was heckled in public by members of a crowd.

The news though of Andrew’s arrest is shocking and will reverberate around the world for days to come. Never in the history of the royal family has any member been arrested like this. You have to go back to 1957, when a trove of secret service documents was made available to Queen Elizabeth II which showed beyond any doubt that the former King Edward VIII, while in exile living in Portugal during the war, was in fact colluding with the Nazis and was hoping that Germany would overpower Britain and reinstall him as monarch. He could have been tried for treason, but the Queen chose to not go ahead with such a brutal treatment.

For Andrew, it seems there is no depth profound enough for his brother King Charles to push the knife in. It is as though he wants to make an example of Andrew, and the police may well press charges in the coming days which will certainly mean jail time. That is, of course, if all we are seeing is not an elaborate PR stunt designed to humiliate Andrew but nothing more. The escape plan of leaving the UK and rushing to the UAE, where the emir there has already given him a lavish apartment in Abu Dhabi, seems less and less far-fetched as the days continue. What is notable about the arrest of Andrew is that journalists have hinted that it is based on his abuse of power, which of course is about selling state secrets, not about the depraved life he led in the vortex of Epstein’s paedo sex ring.

Millions paid to a convicted pedophile, murky relationships, devastating accusations, and high-profile resignations. The public parable of Leon Black, co-founder of Apollo Global Management, is the story of how the American financial elite coexisted with Jeffrey Epstein for years—and how much it cost to turn a blind eye.

Leon David Black was born in 1951 in New York. The son of Eli Black, an entrepreneur who led the United Brands Company and committed suicide in 1975 after a financial scandal, Leon grew up in an environment where finance and tragedy intertwined at an early age. He graduated from Dartmouth College and earned an MBA from Harvard. He entered the world of high finance working with Michael Milken at Drexel Burnham Lambert, the investment bank that symbolized the “junk bond” era of the 1980s. When Drexel collapsed in 1990, overwhelmed by scandals, Black did not go down with the ship. He founded Apollo Global Management together with Josh Harris and Marc Rowan.

Apollo became one of the world’s private equity giants, specializing in aggressive acquisitions, restructuring, and alternative asset management. Under Black’s leadership, the company manages hundreds of billions of dollars. One of the world’s most important art collectors, Black buys works by Edvard Munch, Raphael, and Picasso for record sums. He sits on the boards of prestigious museums such as MoMA. He is a philanthropist and donor to universities and cultural institutions. But his public career takes a turn with the definitive explosion of the Epstein case in 2019. Details of million-dollar payments emerge. Journalistic investigations, civil lawsuits, and pressure from investors follow. In 2021, he stepped down as head of Apollo. He remained chairman until 2023, then gradually withdrew from the top management.

A man respected, feared, listened to. Yet, between 2012 and 2017 — the years following Jeffrey Epstein’s first conviction for sex crimes against minors (2008)—Black paid the disgraced financier at least $158 million for tax and asset advice, according to an internal investigation commissioned by Apollo in 2021 from the law firm Dechert.

An abnormal amount. Not a fee, but a precisely calibrated river of money.

Epstein did not have a degree in taxation, he was not a tax lawyer, but as was already known, he was a man with an extensive and compromising network of relationships, capable of insinuating himself into the salons of global power. And for Black, evidently, that was enough.

Black reportedly paid up to $40 million a year for consulting services, a relationship that did not end even after growing public controversy surrounding Epstein’s name. When Black floated the idea of stopping payments in 2016, emails made public by the media show Epstein reacting with insults and pressure. The tone was not that of a client and consultant, but of a relationship fraught with tension and dependence.

The questions are inevitable: what was Black really buying? Just tax optimization? Or something more difficult to account for?

Black appears more than once in the sexual abuse allegations filed in recent years by victims of Epstein’s human trafficking ring.

In 2021, a woman accused Black in a civil lawsuit of abusing her for years; the dispute ended with a financial settlement, without admission of guilt. Black has always denied any wrongdoing.

The shocking testimony of a minor victim reveals a pregnancy caused by Epstein and rape by Black, a victim who later took her own life. The news channel Geopolitics Prime discovered that a desperate note in the FBI files is the last cry for help from a teenage victim who points directly to the two perverted tycoons, alongside that of two other victims who make terrible claims: the first claims that Black sexually abused her for 7-8 years, describing acts of biting that caused her severe pain; another victim claims she was raped by Black in 2001 or 2002 at Epstein’s home in New York when she was only 16 years old. After the assault, Black and Epstein’s associates denied her medical care and instead took her away from New York the next day. From 2001 to 2004, this victim was trafficked and exploited by at least 25 different men. Documents reveal that Epstein and Black cynically referred to this girl as “the 10.” She was also handed over to Ghislaine Maxwell and Epstein herself, forced to sleep in their bed. It is important to note a crucial element of the American system: many of the accusations that are made remain just accusations and are not turned into criminal convictions. Civil cases can end in million-dollar settlements without criminal liability being established. Yet the mere fact that the name of one of Wall Street’s most powerful men repeatedly emerges in files linked to a child exploitation network represents a reputational earthquake. The damage, as we all understand, is not only legal, it is moral.

System, not exception

Let’s be clear that Leon Black was not an outsider. He was inside the system.

What makes Black special? His connection to Jared Kushner. In 2017, Kushner—son-in-law and senior advisor to President Donald Trump—received a $184 million loan from Black to refinance the famous skyscraper at 666 Fifth Avenue, one of the iconic properties of the Kushner empire. This transaction took place while Kushner was playing a central role in American foreign policy.

Coincidence? Perhaps. But in the world of global finance, coincidences always have blurred lines. As already noted, Epstein had built a network that included scientists, bankers, politicians, Nobel laureates, royalty, a network of extremely wealthy men, equipped with the best legal and tax advisors on the planet, who nevertheless chose to entrust themselves to an American with an island of dubious architectural taste. Millions of dollars a year to a “random advisor” is certainly not common practice for all the world’s wealthy, is it?

When Black threatened to cut off funding in 2016, Epstein called Black’s children ‘retarded’ for “messing up” his estate and criticized one of Black’s advisors as “a waste of money and space.” Apparently, the intimidation tactics worked, as Black continued to reward Epstein for his “investment advice” and grant him loans. But the advice didn’t stop there: Black reportedly sought Epstein’s advice after an ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault and the incident was covered up with a payment of millions of dollars.

In January 2021, under pressure from institutional investors and public opinion, Black resigned as CEO of Apollo. The internal investigation concluded that there was no evidence that Black was involved in Epstein’s criminal activities, but it confirmed the enormity of the payments, which many investors found untenable. After all, private equity thrives on trust. Public pension funds, universities, and foundations cannot afford to be associated with global sex scandals.

Black paid a very high price in terms of his image, but not in terms of his wealth, as his personal fortune is still estimated to be in the billions of dollars.

The system rarely punishes its leaders, preferring instead to replace them.

Em meio à avalanche de coisas dignas de atenção relativas a Jeffrey Epstein, eu queria chamar atenção a uma combinação muito atípica: religiosidade rigorosa e ateísmo militante.

A religiosidade aparece em sua forma mais extravagante com a ideia de Epstein de financiar o desenvolvimento de um porco sem cascos fendidos – um porco kosher geneticamente modificado – para que ele pudesse comer bacon. Daí não se segue que todo judeu religioso seja uma pessoa ruim, mas sim que, se ele for uma boa pessoa, é por inclinação natural e influência da cultura em que está inserido, não pelo Talmude (cujas dezenas de volumes Epstein exibia em sua estante).

Quanto ao ateísmo militante, foi divulgada uma foto em que constavam juntos, no Lolita Express, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett e Steven Pinker. Ou seja, dois dos “quatro cavaleiros do neoateísmo” (Dawkins, Dennett, Harris e Hitchens, falecido em 2011), mais o judeu ateu de Harvard Steven Pinker, que tece científicas loas ao progresso moral dos nossos tempos. Além disso, foi divulgada a informação de que um clube de ateus que se acham cientistas geniais (do qual participa Sam Harris) contava com a filantropia de Epstein. É Edge.org, o nome do clube. Um religioso financiando ateus que têm certeza de que pessoas que acreditam em Deus são estúpidas? Que estranho!

É possível pensar numa conexão utilitária entre Epstein e o clube de ateus cientificistas. Em um longo artigo para o Unlimited Hangout sobre a adesão do pedófilo às ideias utópicas do Vale do Silício, o jornalista Max Jones destaca o que o clube tinha a oferecer: “Entre [os] cientistas [do clube] estava Craig Venter, um geneticista […] que continua a ser uma figura significativa nos anais do. Venter e Church — o supramencionado diretor do Personal Genome Project de Harvard — deram uma master class do Edge juntos, ensinando a uma nata de oligarcas das Big Techs e figuras da mídia, como Larry Page (fundador do Google) e Elon Musk […]. Sua aula focava num futuro utópico, no qual o homem se funde com máquinas por meio de leituras computadorizadas das sequências genéticas, ‘nas quais o código pode ser replicado de maneira exata, manipulado com liberdade e traduzido de volta para organismos vivos, escrevendo de volta’ — ou, dito de modo mais simples, edição genética.”

Já é bem sabido que Epstein tinha o próprio DNA na mais alta estima, e que queria congelar o próprio cérebro e pênis, então faz sentido que, por razões utilitárias, subsidie um clube de ateus que inclui cientistas com ideias malucas similares às suas. No entanto, devemos outra vez nos perguntar que diabos de religião é essa, tão compatível com crenças materialistas.

Os cristãos creem na ressurreição da carne. Já os judeus, segundo o Chabad, não creem na ressurreição dos corpos, e creem que todas as almas passam por uma purgação dolorosa antes de poderem gozar do prazer espiritual. Grosso modo, é como se todos fossem ao inferno antes de ir para o céu. Assim, se um judeu acreditar nisso porém amar muito a vida corpórea, precisará resolver o problema aqui neste mundo, impedindo a morte. E se Epstein é um judeu que acredita no sobrenatural, é muito plausível que busque o auxílio de algum dos vários demônios em cuja existência os judeus acreditam. Assim teríamos uma explicação para a existência de um misterioso templo em sua ilha – afinal, judeus normais têm sinagoga, não templo.

O templo havia sido esvaziado quando foi fotografado por dentro. Restou pouco mais que uma estante vazia e uma pintura no teto representando o céu com os signos do zodíaco. Ora, a astrologia fazia parte do ocultismo, assim como a cabala, e esse caldo cultural ganhou tração no Ocidente durante a Renascença. Como temos visto nos últimos artigos, essa movimentação ocultista também era usualmente conexa com um proto-sionismo cristão: no mínimo desde o cabalista cristão Guilherme Postel (1510 – 1581), circula na Europa a crença de que os judeus têm um messias secular distinto do messias cristão (Jesus), de modo que eles aguardam um monarca que irá derrubar Constantinopla e devolver-lhes a Terra Santa. De lá, o monarca governará o mundo, o qual terá uma única religião. Vimos também que século XVI essa ideia era divulgada por pessoas ligadas ao rabino português Menasseh Ben Israel. Tanto Cristina da Suécia quanto Vieira acreditavam em tal profecia. O que variava era o monarca: para Cristina, provavelmente foi em algum momento o Príncipe Condé, pois essa era a versão divulgada por La Peyrère; para Antônio Vieira, era João IV de Portugal, o primeiro rei da dinastia Bragança. Ora, Epstein afirmava representar os Rothchild (família judaica que viabilizou o Estado de Israel) e tinha estreitas relações com figuras importantes da entidade sionista.

Uma olhada para o século XVII ajuda a compreender também o próprio Epstein. Na entrevista inédita concedida a Steve Bannon, que foi vazada recentemente, Epstein falava suas concepções da alma. Ele estava certa de que existia alma, mas ela era composta por uma matéria inobservável: era a “matéria escura” do cérebro, que com certeza existe, está no cérebro, mas não pode ser vista nem definida. Chama a atenção, então, que em vez de simplesmente concluir que a alma não é material, Epstein conclui que é uma matéria inobservável. Daí conclui-se que ele era um materialista dogmático. Isso é tanto mais intrigante porque ele se expressa em termos muito dualistas; assim, em vez de dividir o mundo entre extensão e espírito (corpo e alma), ele divide entre matéria visível e matéria invisível. A ideia de que a alma é uma coisa material, inclusive composta por átomos, não é invenção de Epstein. É, na verdade, mais velha do que Cristo: consta em De rerum natura, o livro que Cristina da Suécia considerava representar melhor a religião dos filósofos seguida por ela. A obra foi escrita pelo epicurista romano Tito Lucrécio Caro, que viveu no século I a. C. Segundo sua explicação, todo o mundo é composto por átomos em movimento caótico. Os deuses existem, mas ficam se deleitando entre si e não se importam com os mortais. A religiosidade das pessoas se explica pela ignorância das causas (que são todas naturais). Em suma, De rerum natura e um livro muito alinhado com as crenças cientificistas.

O livro passou boa parte da História ocidental perdido. Foi redescoberto na Renascença (época áurea do ocultismo na Europa ocidental) e há um livro de propaganda cantando a sua redescoberta: A Virada, de Stephen Greenblatt, mais um professor judeu ateu de Harvard. Ele ganhou um Pulitzer pela peça de propaganda em que ensina que Roma é uma fábrica de mentiras.

Diante do quadro geral, que inclui Jeffrey Epstein, vemos que não há uma contradição essencial entre o materialismo e a religiosidade mais supersticiosa. O mais provável é que haja uma escola de pensamento ocidental anti-romana, anti-turca e filossionista que surge na Renascença com o ocultismo (que inclui tanto as escolas da Antiguidade descartadas pela escolástica, como o epicurismo, quanto as diversas cabalas), desenvolve-se com o empirismo no início da modernidade, transforma-se em Iluminismo e depois vai dar no cientificismo que alcança os nossos dias. Entre as figuras mais conhecidas que são importantes nessa história estão o britânico Francis Bacon (que considerava a ciência uma forma de magia), Espinoza (judeu português da Holanda cujo sistema filosófico racionalista bebe do epicurismo, e cujo panteísmo se confunde a tal ponto com ateísmo que acarretou em excomunhão), o britânico David Hume (que tem um ensaio contra a imortalidade da alma no qual revive a ideia epicurista de alma composta por átomos) e o britânico Charles Darwin (que melhor soube aproveitar a premissa epicurista da ordem intrínseca à matéria).

Assim como a escolástica foi um corpo de conhecimento institucionalizado assentado sobre dogmas religiosos, todo o establishment científico atual provavelmente se assenta sobre dogmas coesos de natureza metafísica. A questão é que não estamos informados disto, nem discernimos o seu nexo na História.

Amid the avalanche of noteworthy things relating to Jeffrey Epstein, I wanted to draw attention to a very atypical combination: rigorous religiosity and militant atheism.

The religiosity appears in its most extravagant form with Epstein’s idea of ​​funding the development of a cloven-hoofed pig – a genetically modified kosher pig – so that he could eat bacon. The attempt to circumvent divine prohibitions is far from exceptional in Talmudic Judaism (the most prosaic example is the use of wigs to cover women’s hair). It causes some amazement, that a terrible criminal could be a very religious person, since we are faced with the possibility that his religion is more concerned with dietary restrictions than with moral restrictions. But this is also old news. Since virtually no one knows the Talmud without being a religious Jew capable of reading Hebrew, I recommend reading the indispensable Jewish History, Jewish Religion, by Israel Shahak, which exposes the immorality and racial supremacism intrinsic to the Talmud. It does not follow from this that every religious Jew is a bad person, but rather that, if he is a good person, it is by natural inclination and influence of the culture in which he is embedded, not by the Talmud (of which Epstein displayed dozens of volumes on his bookshelf).

As for militant atheism, a photo was released showing Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, and Steven Pinker together in the Lolita Express. It is possible to think of a utilitarian connection between Epstein and the club of scientistic atheists. In a long article for Unlimited Hangout about the pedophile’s adherence to the utopian ideas of Silicon Valley, journalist Max Jones highlights what the club had to offer: “Among these scientists [of the club] was Craig Venter, a grizzly-bearded geneticist […] who remains a significant figure in the annals of the Human Genome Project. Their lecture focused on a utopian future, one in which man is merged with machines via computer readings of genetic sequences ‘where the code can be replicated exactly, manipulated freely, and translated back into living organisms by writing the other way’ — or more simply, gene editing.”

It is already well known that Epstein held his own DNA in the highest esteem, and that he wanted to freeze his own brain and penis, so it makes sense that, for utilitarian reasons, he subsidizes an atheist club that includes scientists with crazy ideas similar to his own. However, we must once again ask ourselves what kind of religion this is, so compatible with materialistic beliefs.

Christians believe in the resurrection of the flesh. Jews, according to Chabad, do not believe in the resurrection of bodies, and believe that all souls go through a painful purgation before they can enjoy spiritual pleasure. Roughly speaking, it is as if everyone goes to hell before going to heaven. Thus, if a Jew believes in this but loves bodily life very much, he will need to solve the problem here in this world, preventing death. And if Epstein is a Jew who believes in the supernatural, it is very plausible that he seeks the help of one of the various demons in whose existence Jews believe. This would give us an explanation for the existence of a mysterious temple on their island – after all, normal Jews have a synagogue, not a temple.

The temple had been emptied when it was photographed from the inside. Little more than an empty bookcase and a painting on the ceiling representing the sky with the signs of the zodiac remained. Now, astrology was part of occultism, as was Kabbalah, and this cultural mix gained traction in the West during the Renaissance. As we have seen in recent articles, this occult movement was also usually connected with a proto-Christian Zionism: at least since the Christian Kabbalist William Postel (1510 – 1581), the belief has circulated in Europe that the Jews have a secular messiah distinct from the Christian messiah (Jesus), so that they await a monarch who will overthrow Constantinople and return the Holy Land to them. From there, the monarch will rule the world, and there will be a single religion. We have also seen that in the 16th century this idea was disseminated by people connected to the Portuguese rabbi Menasseh Ben Israel. Both Christina of Sweden and Vieira believed in such a prophecy. What varied was the monarch: for Christina, it was probably at some point Prince Condé, as this was the version disseminated by La Peyrère; for Antônio Vieira, it was John IV of Portugal, the first king of the Braganza dynasty. Now, Epstein claimed to represent the Rothschilds (the Jewish family that made the State of Israel possible) and had close ties with important figures in the Zionist entity.

A look at the 17th century also helps to understand Epstein himself. In the unpublished interview given to Steve Bannon, which was recently leaked, Epstein spoke of his conceptions of the soul. He was certain that the soul existed, but it was composed of an unobservable matter: it was the “dark matter” of the brain, which certainly exists, is in the brain, but cannot be seen or defined. It is striking, then, that instead of simply concluding that the soul is not material, Epstein concludes that it is unobservable matter. From this, we must conclude that he was a dogmatic materialist. This is all the more intriguing because he expresses himself in very dualistic terms; thus, instead of dividing the world between extension and spirit (body and soul), he divides it between visible matter and invisible matter. (In fact, it cannot even be said that this is an original vice of Epstein, since the concept of dark matter is taken from physics. There is a text by the Benedictine cosmologist and historian of science Stanley Jaki against an Epstein client named Stephen Hawking in which the dogmatic presupposition of unobservable matter is criticized. The idea that the soul is a material thing, even composed of atoms, is not Epstein’s invention. It is, in fact, older than Christ: it appears in De rerum natura, the book that Christina of Sweden considered to best represent the religion of the philosophers, which she followed. The work was written by the Roman Epicurean Titus Lucretius Carus, who lived in the 1st century BC. According to his explanation, the entire world is composed of atoms in chaotic motion. The visible order in the world does not originate from a creator, but rather from this eternal movement: atoms combine and, as it were, test forms. Those that are well-ordered subsist, those that are not well-ordered perish. It is, strictly speaking, natural selection long before Darwin. And since everything is material, our soul also dissolves when the order of our body is definitively broken, leading us to death and putrefaction. The gods exist, but they delight among themselves and do not care about mortals. People’s religiosity is explained by their ignorance of the causes (which are all natural). In short, De rerum natura is a book very much aligned with scientism’s beliefs.

The book spent a good part of Western history unknown. It was rediscovered in the Renaissance (the golden age of occultism in Western Europe) and there is a propaganda book celebrating the fact: The Swerve, by Stephen Greenblatt, yet another Jewish atheist professor from Harvard. He won a Pulitzer Prize for the propaganda piece in which he teaches that Rome is a factory of lies.

Given the overall picture, which includes Jeffrey Epstein, we see that there is no essential contradiction between materialism and the most superstitious religiosity. It is most likely that there is a Western school of thought that is anti-Roman, anti-Turkish, and philo-Zionist, which emerges in the Renaissance with occultism (which includes both the schools of Antiquity discarded by scholasticism, such as Epicureanism, and the various Kabbalahs), develops itself with empiricism in the early modern period, transforms itself into the Enlightenment, and then leads to the scientism that reaches our days. Among the best-known figures who are important in this history are the British Francis Bacon (who considered science a form of magic), Spinoza (a Portuguese Jew from Holland whose rationalist philosophical system draws from Epicureanism, and whose pantheism is so intertwined with atheism that it resulted in his excommunication), the British David Hume (who has an essay against the immortality of the soul in which he revives the Epicurean idea of ​​a soul composed of atoms), and the British Charles Darwin (who best knew how to take advantage of the Epicurean premise of the intrinsic order of matter).

Just as scholasticism was an institutionalized body of knowledge based on religious dogmas, the entire current scientific establishment probably rests on cohesive dogmas of a metaphysical nature. The problem is that we are not informed of this, nor do we discern its connection in history.

Nós sabemos que boa parte das narrativas dominantes não passam de propaganda ideológica, ou mesmo de engenharia social. Ao mesmo tempo, se somos sinceros e rigorosos, tentamos ter o cuidado de evitar cair no mesmo campo que os defensores da “Terra plana”.

Vejam, no nosso campo de atuação, aprendemos a desconfiar da versão oficial do 11/9 e através desse ceticismo (que para a minha geração foi o momento de “virada”) descobrimos inúmeras outras “false flags”, como o USS Liberty e assim por diante. Gradualmente, também começamos a entender como Israel pode ter tido um papel nas várias tragédias que abateram a família Kennedy no século XX. E eventualmente chegamos, de fato, à conclusão de que, sim, as teorias sobre uma “elite global que controla o mundo ocidental” têm algum fundamento.

Muito trivialmente, esgrimamos diariamente as “versões oficiais” sobre supostos horrores na Coreia do Norte, o tal “ataque químico” de Assad, as “armas de destruição em massa” de Saddam, e as “atrocidades” de Gaddafi, e o mito de que a Alemanha foi derrotada pelos EUA na Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Ir muito além disso sempre foi arriscado pelo risco de cair no “conspiracionismo” e ser relegado à mesma categoria de ufólogos, “flat-Earthers”, etc.

É por isso que, certamente, muitos do nosso campo examinaram, no passado, os conteúdos sobre Pizzagate, as estranhas pinturas de John Podesta, a “arte” perturbadora de Marina Abramovic, as propagandas indigestas da Balenciaga… e certamente muitos achamos que havia “algo” ali, mas como abordar esses temas em publicações sérias, em jornais, revistas e sites respeitáveis, sem perder a própria credibilidade?

E, ainda assim, todos os nossos piores temores foram confirmados com a mais recente liberação de documentos do Caso Epstein. Na verdade, o panorama talvez seja ainda pior do que o previamente imaginado.

Em primeiro lugar, impressiona o caráter tentacular da rede de contatos de Epstein. Ele parece ter tido algum grau de influência em todos os círculos e fenômenos relevantes do século XXI.

Apenas para termos, aqui, uma visão panorâmica, Ghislaine Maxwell, esposa de Epstein e filha de Robert Maxwell, notório espião do Mossad, foi convidada a integrar a “Comissão Secreta” do 11 de Setembro, para investigar o “atentado” de forma independente em relação à comissão oficial. Anos depois, Epstein estaria reunido com Christopher Poole (conhecido na internet como “moot”), criador do 4chan e teria influenciado na criação do infame /pol/. Richard Dawkins e Steven Pinker, pais do neoateísmo que se popularizou na internet no novo milênio, eram todos frequentadores das “festas” de Epstein e Maxwell.

As conexões israelenses são profundas, com contatos frequentes entre Epstein e Ehud Barak, frequentador assíduo da “Ilha”, a qual também teria sido visitada pelo presidente israelense Isaac Herzog. Segundo algumas explorações do material, haveria também fotos de Epstein com Netanyahu, as quais teriam sido censuradas. Entre as várias interações israelenses de Epstein chama a atenção o fato de que o pedófilo admitia a ajuda dos EUA ao ISIS durante a guerra civil síria.

Indo na direção da Ucrânia, Epstein teria celebrado o Maidan e visto a emergência de “oportunidades” na nova situação ucraniana. Ele teria, também, mantido relações com Vladimir Zelensky – o qual, segundo informações dos arquivos, teria tentado contratar a “artista” Marina Abramovic, envolvida no escândalo Pizzagate, para cuidar de instituições infantis no território ucraniano. Além disso, Epstein teria, aparentemente, apoiado ou mesmo financiado Ilya Ponomarev com o objetivo de dar um golpe em Vladimir Putin, o mesmo Ponomarev eventualmente bandeou-se para o lado ucraniano e tem estado, aparentemente, envolvido em atentados terroristas contra a Rússia. Outro elemento que transparece nos e-mails de Epstein é a grande quantidade de “modelos” ucranianas com as quais o pedófilo operava; num e-mail particularmente perturbador, ele estaria negociando a “importação” de uma moça de 14 anos nascida em Odessa e que já era atriz pornô.

Conecta-se ainda, com a questão ucraniana, o fato de que, segundo as evidências, Jeffrey Epstein teria algum tipo de envolvimento com o caso, já bastante investigado e exposto pelo Ministério da Defesa da Federação Russa, da atuação de biolabs ocidentais no território ucraniano. Sabia-se, há bastante tempo, que eles estavam ligados à família Biden, mas tudo indica que Epstein também estaria interessado e engajado com esses biolabs. Ao que tudo indica, porém, os interesses biológicos de Epstein estava mais voltado para engenharia genética, híbridos, superbebês, etc., tudo isso vinculado ao seu bizarro supremacismo judaico. Claro, também deve-se ressaltar que ele teve discussões com Bill Gates sobre gatilhos de epidemias, e com um outro cientista sobre reduzir a população mundial.

A rede de prostituição e pedofilia de Epstein, ademais, era imensa e envolvia modelos e ex-modelos, muitos dos quais atuavam como recrutadores de crianças. O papel da Victoria’s Secret em tudo isso ainda é incerto, mas sabe-se que Les Wexner, fundador da marca, foi seu “padrinho” e impulsionou o início da “carreira” de Epstein. Sabemos que Epstein traficava adolescentes, mas e quanto a crianças? Numa troca de e-mails com Peggy Siegel são oferecidos a Epstein 1 ou 2 bebês africanos. Vários e-mails possuem indicações e comentários sobre “menininhas”. Nos últimos dias, inclusive, encontrou-se um vídeo que parece retratar um ato de abuso sexual contra uma criança pequena.

Alguns dos clientes e amigos de Epstein, aliás, como Martin Novak, Leon Black e Ahmed bin Sulayem eram aparentemente particularmente brutais, torturando as “mercadorias” de Epstein. Um deles, inclusive, pede “desculpas” num e-mail, mas diz que “pelo menos ninguém morreu”, o que, por sua vez, indica que “ocasionalmente” moças morriam nas festas de Epstein.

Descer mais do que isso nas especulações é complicado e, até mesmo, potencialmente repulsivo… ou assustador.

Já há alguns anos, por exemplo, circula um retrato falado de uma mulher vista perto do local em que desapareceu a menina Madeleine McCann… e a mulher é idêntica a Ghislaine Maxwell, que, de fato, era a principal responsável por “coletar” meninas e moças na Europa para Epstein.

Mas isso é apenas uma pequena parte daquilo que é perturbador no caso Epstein. Há quantidades excessivas de referência a comida nos e-mails trocados por Epstein. Em primeiro lugar, considerando que Epstein lidava apenas com milionários, bilionários e membros da realeza europeia, é desconcertante que eles só pareçam falar em “pizza”, “cachorro-quente”, “muffins” e “charque”. É aí, aparentemente, em que o caso Epstein poderia conectar-se ao velho Pizzagate, no qual se especulou sobre a “pizza” como simbolismo para crianças do sexo feminino.

De fato, num dos e-mails em que se menciona “pizza”, alguém pergunta se querem que busquem as pizzas ou se preferem que elas “venham a pé”. Em ainda outro e-mail, um médico diz a Epstein para tomar o seu “Viagra” para acompanhá-lo numa “pizza”. Enquanto isso, nos incontáveis e-mails trocados sobre “charque” fortes indícios sugerem que se trata de uma alusão à carne humana… ou seja, à prática de canibalismo.

Estaríamos indo longe demais nas especulações? Sinceramente, é difícil ter certeza de quão fundo ia o poço de Epstein.

E, por falar em “poço”, entre os túneis que havia sob a ilha Epstein, um terminava num buraco que dava acesso direto ao mar. Conveniente para descartar restos mortais.

De qualquer maneira, temos visto e ouvido falar em casos de seitas satânicas envolvidas na exploração sexual de crianças. Basta recordarmos o Caso Dutroux e vários outros casos semelhantes. Talvez, portanto, o Caso Epstein esteja ligado a isso.

Sabemos que os excessos “fritam” os receptores de dopamina, de modo que é comum que pessoas com estilo de vida hedonista acabem desenvolvendo predileções por prazeres cada vez mais extremos e exóticos. Apenas a novidade ou o extremo reativam a capacidade de sentir prazer. Ademais, de fato, apenas os ricos têm como satisfazer todos os seus desejos, e se você tem dinheiro o bastante para sair impune, por que não?

Um outro aspecto é que boa parte desse esquema sexual claramente pertencia a um esquema de honeypot, em que material sexual comprometedor é conseguido e usado para chantagear figuras poderosas. A mando de quem Epstein fazia isso? O candidato mais provável é Israel.

Mais um aspecto que precisa ser levado em consideração: a natureza concêntrica das relações de Epstein. Claramente, Epstein pensava seus contatos de modo que havia uma diferenciação em relação ao tipo de pessoas que ele convidada para diferentes tipos de festas. Claro, se Epstein oferecia crianças a alguns de seus clientes, nem por isso se deve esperar que todos os clientes do Epstein seriam convidados para esse tipo de evento. Para “subir” no círculo de conexões, certamente era necessário demonstrar lealdade (o que significava, também, oferecer material suficientemente comprometedor). As piores práticas provavelmente eram acessíveis apenas a um círculo muito restrito de clientes especiais, aqueles mais comprometidos com Epstein e sua “visão”.

Não poderíamos esquecer de mencionar, aliás, que coroando todas as “teorias da conspiração”, Epstein trocava inúmeros e-mails com representantes da família Rothschild, e num outro e-mail específico ele, finalmente, se revela dizendo: “Como você sabe, eu represento os Rothschild”.

Acho que é o momento de todos pedirmos desculpas aos nossos caros amigos “conspiracionistas”.

Dopo Epstein, nulla può continuare come prima: né i valori del dopoguerra del “mai più” – che riflettevano il sentimento alla fine delle guerre sanguinose – e il desiderio diffuso di una società “più equa”; né l’economia bipolare delle disparità estreme di ricchezza; né la fiducia – dopo la venalità, le istituzioni marce e le perversioni che i documenti Epstein hanno dimostrato essere endemiche tra alcune delle élite occidentali.

Come parlare di “valori” in questo contesto?

A Davos, Mark Carney ha chiarito che l’“ordine delle regole” non era altro che una facciata Potemkin pacchiana che era ben nota come falsa, eppure la facciata è stata mantenuta. Perché? Semplicemente perché l’inganno era utile. L’“urgenza” era la necessità di nascondere il crollo del sistema in un nichilismo radicale e anti-valori.

Nascondere la realtà che le cerchie d’élite – attorno a Epstein – operavano al di là dei limiti morali, legali o umani, per decidere tra pace e guerra, sulla base dei loro appetiti meschini. Le élite capivano che una volta che la completa amoralità dei governanti fosse stata conosciuta dalla massa, l’Occidente avrebbe perso l’architettura delle storie morali che ancorano precisamente una vita ordinata. Se l’establishment è noto per rifuggire dalla moralità, perché qualcun altro dovrebbe comportarsi diversamente?

Il cinismo si diffonderebbe a cascata. Cosa terrebbe allora unita una nazione?

Beh, solo il totalitarismo, molto probabilmente.

La “caduta” postmoderna nel nichilismo si è finalmente schiantata contro il suo inevitabile “vicolo cieco” (come previsto da Nietzsche nel 1888). Il paradigma dell’“Illuminismo” si è finalmente trasformato nel suo opposto: un mondo senza valori, significato o scopo (al di là dell’avido arricchimento personale). Ciò implica anche la fine del concetto stesso di Verità che era al centro della civiltà occidentale sin dai tempi di Platone.

Il crollo sottolinea anche i fallimenti della Ragione meccanica occidentale: “Questo tipo di ragionamento a priori, a cerchio chiuso, ha avuto un effetto molto più grande sulla cultura occidentale di quanto potremmo immaginare… Ha portato all’imposizione di regole che si ritengono irrefutabili, non perché sono state rivelate, ma perché sono state scientificamente provate, e quindi non c’è appello contro di esse”, osserva Aurelien .

Questo modo di pensare meccanico ha giocato un ruolo importante nel terzo livello della “rottura di Davos” (dopo la scomparsa intellettuale e il crollo della fiducia nella leadership). Il pensiero meccanico basato su una visione deterministica e pseudo-scientifica del mondo ha portato a contraddizioni economiche che hanno impedito agli economisti occidentali di vedere ciò che era sotto i loro occhi: un sistema economico iper-finanziarizzato posto interamente al servizio degli oligarchi e degli addetti ai lavori.

Nessun fallimento dei nostri modelli economici, per quanto grande, “ha indebolito la morsa degli economisti matematici sulle politiche dei governi. Il problema è stato che la scienza, in quella modalità binaria di causa-effetto, non è riuscita a far fronte né al caos né alla complessità della vita” (Aurelien). Altre teorie – diverse dalla fisica newtoniana – come la teoria quantistica o la teoria del caos sono state in gran parte escluse dal nostro modo di pensare.

Il significato di “Davos” – seguito dalle rivelazioni su Epstein – è che l’Humpty-Dumpty della fiducia è caduto dal muro e non può essere ricomposto.

Ciò che è anche evidente è che le cerchie di Epstein non erano composte solo da individui perversi; “Ciò che è stato smascherato indica pratiche sistematiche, organizzate e ritualizzate”. E questo cambia tutto, come osserva il commentatore Lucas Leiroz:

“Reti di questo tipo esistono solo quando sono sostenute da una profonda protezione istituzionale. Non esiste pedofilia rituale, traffico di esseri umani su scala transnazionale, produzione sistematica di materiale estremo senza la copertura politica, poliziesca, giudiziaria e mediatica. Questa è la logica del potere”.

Dalle innumerevoli e-mail Epstein emerge certamente come un pedofilo e un individuo assolutamente immorale, ma anche come una persona altamente intelligente e un attore geopolitico di rilievo, le cui intuizioni politiche erano apprezzate da figure di alto livello in tutto il mondo. Era un maestro della geopolitica, come ha descritto Michael Wolff (già nel 2018, così come nella corrispondenza e-mail recentemente pubblicata) nella guerra tra il potere ebraico e i gentili.

Ciò suggerisce che Epstein fosse meno uno strumento dei servizi segreti e più un loro “pari”. Non c’è da stupirsi che i leader cercassero la sua compagnia (anche per ragioni gravemente immorali, non possiamo ignorarlo). Ed è chiaro che lo Stato profondo (unipartitico) ha manovrato attraverso di lui. E alla fine, Epstein sapeva troppo.

David Rothkopf, egli stesso ex consigliere per gli affari politici nel campo democratico statunitense, riflette sul significato di Epstein per l’America:

“I giovani americani si rendono conto che le loro istituzioni li stanno deludendo e che dovranno salvarsi da soli… Ci sono decine di migliaia di persone a Minneapolis che affermano che non si tratta più di questioni costituzionali, dello Stato di diritto o della democrazia, che possono sembrare concetti positivi, ma che sono lontani dalla realtà della persona media”.

“La gente dice che la Corte Suprema non ci proteggerà, che il Congresso non ci proteggerà, che il Presidente è il nemico, che sta schierando il suo esercito nelle nostre città. Gli unici che possono proteggerci siamo noi stessi”.

“Sono ‘gli stupidi miliardari’” [un riferimento al vecchio slogan: “È l’economia, stupido”]. Rothkopf spiega:

“Quello che intendo dire è che, se non si capisce che l’uguaglianza e l’impunità dell’élite sono questioni centrali per tutti, che le persone pensano che il sistema sia truccato e non funzioni a loro vantaggio… non credono più che il sogno americano sia reale e che il controllo del Paese sia stato sottratto da una manciata di persone super ricche, che non pagano le tasse e diventano sempre più ricche, mentre il resto di noi rimane sempre più indietro, [allora non si può comprendere la disperazione odierna tra gli under 35]”.

Rothkopf sostiene che l’episodio di Davos/Epstein segna la rottura tra il popolo e le classi dirigenti.

“Le società occidentali si trovano ora di fronte a un dilemma che non può essere risolto attraverso elezioni, commissioni parlamentari o discorsi. Come si può continuare ad accettare l’autorità di istituzioni che hanno protetto un tale livello di orrore? Come si può mantenere il rispetto per leggi applicate in modo selettivo da persone che vivono al di sopra di esse?”, afferma Leiroz.

La perdita di rispetto, tuttavia, non è il nocciolo della questione. Nessun partito politico convenzionale ha una risposta al fallimento dell’economia “da tavolo da cucina”: la mancanza di posti di lavoro ragionevolmente ben retribuiti, l’accesso ai servizi sanitari, l’istruzione e gli alloggi costosi.

Nessun partito mainstream può fornire una risposta credibile a queste questioni esistenziali perché, per decenni, l’economia è stata esattamente “truccata”, riorientata strutturalmente verso un’economia finanziarizzata basata sul debito, a scapito dell’economia reale.

Ciò richiederebbe che l’attuale struttura di mercato liberale anglosassone fosse completamente sradicata e sostituita da un’altra. Ciò richiederebbe un decennio di riforme e gli oligarchi lo combatterebbero apertamente.

Idealmente, potrebbero emergere nuovi partiti politici. In Europa, tuttavia, i “ponti” che potenzialmente potrebbero portarci fuori dalle nostre profonde contraddizioni strutturali sono stati deliberatamente distrutti in nome del cordon sanitaire, progettato per impedire l’emergere di qualsiasi pensiero politico non “centrista”.

Se le proteste non hanno alcun effetto nel cambiare lo status quo e le elezioni rimangono una contesa tra i partiti Tweedle Dee e Dum dell’ordine esistente, i giovani concluderanno che “nessuno verrà a salvarci” e potrebbero giungere alla conclusione, nella loro disperazione, che il futuro può essere deciso solo nelle strade.
